Insurance
Proof of insurance for the vehicle.

Bill of Lading
Document that lists your cargo and destination.
Officer may say: Can I see your bill of lading?
Driver can say: Yes, here is my bill of lading. It shows my cargo and destination.
Logbook
Record of your driving hours.
Officer may say: Can I see your logbook?
Driver can say: Yes, here is my logbook. It is up to date.
ELD
Electronic logging device for driving hours.
Officer may say: Can I see your ELD records?
Driver can say: Yes, I can show you my ELD records now.
Inspection Report
Last vehicle inspection report.
Officer may say: Do you have your last inspection report?
Driver can say: Yes, here is my last inspection report.
Permit
Special permit if required for your load or route.
Officer may say: Do you have any required permits?
Driver can say: Yes, here is my permit for this trip.
Shipping Papers
Papers that describe a hazardous load if you carry one.
Officer may say: Can I see your shipping papers?
